Sabrina Tamar is a writer, researcher, and psychoanalyst-in-formation based in New York City. She received her MA in Literary Translation from NYU/Université Paris VIII and a B.A. from NYU Gallatin with a focus on Language & Cultural Identity and a minor in Linguistics. She was the recipient of NYU’s Prix Bernard Garniez for excellence in the study of French literature and culture and received departmental honors in the field of Slavic Studies. Her work has appeared in various literary publications and exhibition catalogues and she has closely collaborated with visual and performing artists, filmmakers, and musicians. Her practice often confronts questions of memory, loss, subjectivity, and translation theory.
